When I first saw this art piece I immediately thought about the success of winning a war. The writers response made me understand the appearance of the child in this art piece. It then made me think about the future and how the future rest in the hands of future generations to come. They are soon going to make decisions for our country.

Hi Selina- I think you need to go alot deeper here into understanding what the artist critique is really saying..-"This depiction participates in a ritual of blindness to a civilizing violence understood as necessary."- what does this quote mean?
